Why I Stopped Buying Cheap Laser Welders (And What I Learned the Hard Way)

In early 2023, I was sourcing a laser welding machine for a small metal fabrication shop we were setting up. Budget was tight.   4. Get a binding delivery guarantee. A contract clause with penalty for late delivery (e.g., 1% discount per day). If they refuse, that’s a red flag.
  5. Budget for “insurance.” If the price difference between two laser machine manufacturers is less than 15-20%, the safer one is almost always the better value.
